Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's leaders on Monday strongly condemned the bomb blast near a bus queue at a market in Jamrud, in which at least 20 people were killed and 45 injured. PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi, President Javed Hashmi, Secretary General Dr Arif Alvi and Information secretary Shafqat Mahmood condemned all acts of violence targeting innocent people and added that it is very unfortunate that extremists are targeting civilians.

According to them, this act of violence is a result of sheer lack of concern regarding law and order by the current government. Both, the provincial and Federal governments have failed miserably to protect and safeguard a common man's life and they seem to be helpless in controlling law and order in the country.

"According to statics (AFP) there have been more than 100 bombings, killing 550 people, so far this year. The party calls for government action against this kind of barbarism, and if left unchecked, this menace can imperil the country. PTI prays for the repose of the souls of those who have lost their lives in this unjustifiable dastardly act and commiserate with their families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured," they added.
